Hello All,
This page is dedicated in loving memory of my beloved friend and angel, Michael Hughes (8/12/1994-8/9/2017) and to raise money for the foundation his family created in his honor, Turn The Tide. Mike was absolutely incredible; he had a way of making people smile, his laugh was contagious, and he brightened every room he entered. I had the pleasure of attending school with Mike and sharing many memories along side him through Aquinas Athletics, boat days, tailgates, and everything in between. I feel eternally grateful I had the joy of knowing such an incredible human being.
I recently decided to take on the challenge and bucket-list item of running a marathon so on March 10th I will participate in the DC Rock n Roll Series. I know it is going to be mentally and physically strenous so I have decided to run it in honor of Mike. I know he'll be watching over me for all 26.2 miles, and ultimately the reason I cross that finish line. This is my #MarathonforMike
All donations will go directly towards Turn The Tide, a foundation established in Michael Hughes' honor, by his loving family Jim , Denise & Danny, for his legacy and love of the ocean. Connected with FISP (Florida Initiative for Suicide Prevention,) the goal of the foundation is committed to do exactly that - Turn the Tide on suicide prevention and awareness in Florida.
