This page means more to me than I can put into words.
For those of you who don’t know, my father passed away on July 29, 2025 after fighting cancer for 8 years. He was resilient, strong, and deeply loved. Everyone knew him. He made a difference in this world — and now it’s my turn to carry on his name and do the same.
On April 19, 2026, I will be running the Jersey City Marathon in his honor. Through this page, I’ll be bringing you along my journey — the training, the hard days, the growth, and the purpose behind every mile.
I am also setting up a GoFundMe to raise money for Tackle Kids Cancer. TKC raises crucial funds for pediatric cancer research and patient care programs for their MVPs (Most Valiant Patients) and their families at Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital and K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital. Choosing where to donate wasn’t easy because there are so many incredible charities, but this one hits close to home — and I know it would’ve been my father’s first choice.
During my dad’s fight, he was far from family. Thinking about that alone breaks my heart. But he was never truly alone because he had his best friend Darrell by his side — bringing him food, driving him to appointments, and keeping my sister and me informed every step of the way. My dad’s loss affected so many people, but it hit my sister, Darrell, and me the hardest.
Darrell owns an antique shop in Walton, NY called Another Man’s Treasure — if you’re ever in the area, please check it out. As a thank-you for the love and care he showed my dad, 10% of all donations will be given directly to Darrell, who made sure my father was never alone during the hardest chapter of his life.
I’ll be attaching the GoFundMe link below. If you’re able to donate, thank you from the bottom of my heart. If you can’t, please share this page and my father’s story.
Let’s make a difference.
This one’s for you, Dad.
