Hi Everyone,

On May 25th, I'll be running the Vermont City Marathon. This also marks my cousin Lena's 23rd birthday.

In her memory, I hope to raise $2,300 in 23 days to support the Appendix Cancer PMP Research Foundation. Lena bravely fought appendix cancer for two years before passing away last year. Her vibrant presence, warm spirit, and fierce determination are missed every single day.

Appendix cancer is extremely rare, affecting only 1 to 2 people per million each year, according to the National Cancer Institute. Its rarity means there’s very limited government funding for research.

Through this fundraiser, I hope to bring greater awareness to this overlooked disease and carry Lena’s memory forward, providing hope for others facing this diagnosis.
