15 yr old's Solo Marathon for Lions Gate Hospital

Tax deductible

Due to the COVID-19 crisis the campaign to build a Critical Care Unit at Lions Gate hospital has had reduced funding.

I am a grade 10 student at Carson Graham Secondary School, and want to do something to help our hospital and our community.  Together we can make change happen - I will be running a solo marathon in just 2 months [42 km - a huge personal challenge].

Thanks in advance for your contribution - any amount will make an impact.

Starting 8am, Saturday, August 1, 2020
Fen Burdett Stadium [Mahon Park], North Vancouver, BC

------

Of the 65,000 annual patients of Lions Gate hospital, 70% have suffered a serious illness or injury that requires advanced levels of care.

With your help the new Critical Care Unit could support 1,400 patients a year with long-term health issues including:

• Patients with heart, lung & kidney disease

• Step-down intensive care patients

• Post-surgical patients

• Emergency patients requiring close monitoring

100% of funds raised will be used to refurbish and equip the new unit with advanced life-saving technology and equipment.
