Mara’s Mission to Indonesia

This January I will be going on a missions trip to Guinea in Africa. I will be interning with Envision, a ministry of the Christian and Missionary Alliance for 4 months. 85% of Guinea's population is Muslim with the remaining 15% a mix of indigenous religions or Christian beliefs. During this time I will be teaching English at a university, doing youth outreach programs and sharing the good news through practical acts of kindness. I have always known that I was being called to teaching, and through my time as a youth group leader I learned that sharing the message of Jesus to people who have never had the opportunity to hear it was where I was being called. This opportunity has meant the world to me, and I have never been so excited to see where God is leading me to share His word.
The most important support that I can request from you is in prayer- that God will work in me before, during and after the time I am on site so that His light will shine in new places. The second area I am asking for support is financially. This goal will cover my four months on the ground in Guinea as well as my flight there and home. While the amount of fundraising that has to be done seems large to me, I know that God works in wonderful ways and calls us to trust in Him.
I have faith that through God's grace and your prayers and financial support, my time in Guinea will be a successful ministry and a time of growth for me and those I come in contact with.
