Hi my name is Caroline and I am fundraising to help my sister and her family during this difficult time. Five years ago Mara was diagnosed with breast cancer. The chemo treatments lead to a more recent diagnosis of acute myeloid leukaemia. During this next fight with cancer Mara will need to be in hospital for months at a time for treatment and eventually a stem cell transplant. I am hoping to raise funds to support her family as they navigate living their lives without their mama available to meet their daily needs. I’d like to remind you that teenagers are very needy. Lol. For reals. Mara will be off work for at least a year recovering and exhausted most of her insurance one time use five years ago for coverage for wig or other medical needs with her first battle with cancer. Funds will be used for a human hair wig which run close to $2000, food for the family, doggy daycare for the new puppy and other support in the home after Mara recovers from stem cell transplant. All donations will be greatly appreciated! People have been reaching out looking for ways to help and this will provide Jason and the kids (as well as Mara) to get whatever they need as they need it. The thing about cancer is, it is survivable. We know Mara’s got this! My hope is to make this time a little easier for her and her family. Thanks friends!
