Mapula family
This is the Mapula family,
Back in 2014 their father (Nicholas Mapula) started to lose the ability to use his legs. After getting him checked out and multiple test later they found out that he has Corticobasal syndrome. Corticobasal syndrome (CBS) is a form of atypical parkinsonism (a parkinsonism-plus syndrome), which means that it shares some features with Parkinson's disease such as stiffness (rigidity), tremor at rest, slowness of movement (bradykinesia) and postural instability (balance difficulties). It may also cause problems with memory and thinking. As time passed he started to lose the ability to use his entire body and is now needing 24/7 care. There is NO cure for what their dad has. He has been sitting and sleeping in a recliner for over 5 years now. Due to wear and tear the recliner is now starting to break and is uncomfortable to stay on. However, a medical bed is expensive and raising this money will all go to helping the Mapula family buy their dad a medical bed for their house so he can stay comfortable and make it easier for him to stay in. Their mom works 2 jobs to support them and everyone in the family works really hard to support their dad and also each other. Any amount of money donated counts and would help out in a huge way. This money is also going towards a stem cell treatment.
