Growing up in the foster care system, I experienced firsthand what it means to go without basic needs like food, shelter, and support. These challenges inspired me to create a solution that could help others facing similar struggles. My project is a public mapping program designed to track and visualize the needs and wants of people everywhere—whether it’s food, water, healthcare, education, or any other essential resource. The goal is to empower individuals and communities to signal their needs, connect with others, and work together to solve shared problems, from the smallest local issues to global crises.
The program is already live in a beta version, but there’s much more to be done. I’m seeking support to further develop the site, build out project and profile pages, and add new features that will make it even more effective. Funding will help me hire developers, improve the website’s functionality, and expand outreach so more people can use the platform. I’m also working to get people involved, encouraging them to map their needs and test the system. With your help, we can create a global network—a public “hivemind”—that brings people, governments, and organizations together to address urgent needs and make a real difference in the world.
