Maplethorpe's Recovery

Hello! My name is Courtney Freemyer. I am here to find help for Maplethorpe and his caregiver, Brianne, after an unexpected emergency vet visit. On Jan. 27, Maplethorpe was found in the yard with a swollen area on his head and blood coming from his ears and mouth as well as a visibly dislocated jaw; he had to stay at the emergency clinic until Feb. 2. He has been undergoing many diagnostics and treatments to save his life, including surgery on his jaw, which has been sewn in place for three weeks, so he is currently on a feeding tube as well. He is now home, but the battle isn't over just yet.

 

Just as it has happened many times before, Maplethorpe chose Brianne. He has been a neighborhood cat for years, but in the last 3 he has really stuck around Brianne and made his home with her, becoming a true part of her family. Which is why she didn't hesitate once to do all that was needed for him, and this is where she also needs some help to continue giving him the treatment that is required. She is currently 10K in debt from vet bills, so anything that you can give will help out tremendously for Maplethorpe to keep showing his light to the community.
