Manuela's Journey to Healing and Hope

Donation protected
Manuela Vergara Salazar is a 27-year-old mother whose life changed in an instant. While working at La Oficina bar in Queens on the night of August 23rd, she suffered a fire accident that left her with severe burns.

She is now hospitalized and facing a long road to recovery. Doctors anticipate weeks in the hospital followed by months of treatments, surgeries, and rehabilitation. The physical pain is immense, and the emotional impact is overwhelming, especially as she worries about the well-being of her 2-year-old son.

Her family is stepping in to care for her son, but the costs of her medical treatment, rehabilitation, and everyday living are significant.

This fundraiser is created to help cover:
• Urgent and ongoing medical expenses (surgeries, therapy, medications)
• Childcare support for her son during her recovery
• Living expenses while she cannot work
• Any legal or recovery needs related to the incident

Goal Explanation:
We have set the initial goal at $50,000 to cover urgent needs, but medical costs for severe burn injuries can be very high. Donations above this amount will help ensure Manuela gets the care and support she needs during this long recovery process.

Every donation, no matter the size, brings relief and hope to Manuela and her family. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing this page and keeping Manuela in your thoughts and prayers.

Let’s stand together to help Manuela heal and regain her life.
