Manuel (Boy) Jacinto
Donation protected
On behalf of the Jacinto family,
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Manuel (Boy) Jacinto in the Philippines, 6th of January 2025.
We would like to take a moment to explain where your generous donations will go. The past few weeks have been incredibly difficult and heartbreaking for our family. Lolo Boy’s sudden illness led to his transfer between three different hospitals, each one trying to provide the best care they could. He underwent various procedures, and the cost of the medicines—many of which had to be injected directly into his IV—quickly became overwhelming. The hospital bills here in the Philippines piled up fast, and we were left with little time to prepare for such an unexpected burden. Most especially when he was put into ICU (Intensive Care Unit). Any amount you can give will go toward covering these medical expenses and the costs of his funeral and memorial.
A man whose generosity and zest for life were unmatched. His presence was a beacon of kindness and joy, and he will forever be remembered for the incredible impact he made in his community. Boy was a man of action and heart. He shared his blessings selflessly—whether it was giving rice to neighbors in need, handing coins to children for their lunch, or even paying for the schooling of his nieces and nephews. He would go out of his way to support the community, often visiting local food stalls to leave a thousand pesos, instructing the owners to feed hungry children and deduct from his tab. Every morning, he made sure the children had their fill of warm taho, a simple but heartfelt gesture that brought smiles to countless faces. He treated everyone equally, giving all that he can up to the last cent.
When he returned as a "balikbayan," Boy brought not just gifts but also his lively spirit. He formed a dance group called Young at Heart, delighting everyone with energetic performances during holidays and fiestas. His dedication to teaching dances and entertaining others was a testament to his love for life and his desire to spread happiness wherever he went.
This is not about monetary giving or bragging but about embodying the genuine kindness that defined Boy. He was someone who, without hesitation or doubt, would never turn a blind eye to anyone in need. As long as he could, he gave—whether to family, friends, or complete strangers. His life was a testament to what it truly means to love and care for others— without expecting anything in return.
As we celebrate his remarkable legacy, we humbly call on kind-hearted volunteers to help his funeral and memorial arrangements. Any contributions will be deeply appreciated during this time of grief and remembrance. Your contributions will help us give him the heartfelt farewell he truly deserves.
Let us come together to honor a life well-lived. For inquiries or donations, please reach out to me. Your kindness and prayers during this time mean the world to us. Thank you.
