Manuel, Ashley and their Family

There has been an outpouring of support for Ashley, Manuel and their family. I wanted to create a place for your assistance to be collected as we help this amazing family through this unimaginable loss.

A note from Manuel, Caleb's Dad...

"On January 4 we lost our youngest son Caleb Aaron Rogers. He was just 20 years and 43 days old and an absolutely amazing human being. He is the perfect mix of me, his mom, his big brother and sister. He fought to come into this world to be with us. He is this charming, funny, smart amazing young man that is missed by all of us. He found the good in everyone and was kind in a way that I was never able to or capable of being. He recused injured birds and wanted to find a home for every stray … animal or human. He lit up the room with his personality. He was a bit of nerd and knew the whole Marvel universe. He loved his family and friends with a pure and trusting heart. He is a good man a better man than me and exactly what every parent, brother, and sister could hope for. Our hearts and souls are aching and we are just getting through the day right now hour by hour.

The news of our loss has trickled out and we greatly appreciate the abundance of support that we have received. He is so loved by many and touch so many lives in so many ways. We are thankful for our family and friends from California, Ohio, Georgia, North Carolina and the Marine Corps that have reached out to us. No, we are not fine and to be honest I don’t know if we ever will be, but we are all together right now and somehow, some way we’ll figure this out. That’s what we do … we figure it out.
