I am Jessie and I am physically disabled. My medical funding covers my power chair but not my manual. A manual is vital for times like when the power chair breaks down, in fact I just spent two weeks in it. It's easier for my mom to take me places too. This manual chair needs help and I don't receive a dime. It's 12 years old. The backrest is literally disintegrating and the wheels are in sad shape. There is a local organization that sells used equipment. They happen to have a folding chair that meets my needs and measurements. However giving donations won't offset the cost. I told them I get disability but they won't take payment plans. They were quite rigid about this over the phone. I am trying to reach my ODSP worker for help but it's unlikely. After lots of searching I learned I have a better chance at another used chair than the parts for this one. With no money in the budget and this manual ready to collapse its getting time sensitive. I am trying to sell a couple things on marketplace but nothing yet. This is my last resort.
