Mantra Oasis needs your help!

With the blessings of senior Prabhupada disciples in Tucson, we are working to create a home environment ashram/preaching center as a model to facilitate ISKCON devotees in preaching and community building in North America. We believe all of Srila Prabhupada’s temples need such a program to bring devotees together in a more intimate and comfortable setting. Imagine introducing new people to a warm, family environment in a simple home setting that is dedicated to such a purpose.

Features of Mantra Oasis

1. Reading room with all of Srila Prabhupada’s books

2. Kirtan room with Gaura Nitai deities and 24-hour either live or recorded kirtan

3. Krishna-conscious programs such as the morning program, Bhagavad Gita, Bhakti Sastri, and intro. to

Krishna Consciousness classes, etc.

4. Outdoor yoga classes for health

5. Nice kitchen for wonderful Prasadam

6. Naturopath clinic on site w/ licensed Naturopath devotee, offering health services to local

devotees as well as massage therapy.

7. Two young, enthusiastic, and dedicated Brahmacari devotees living onsite as caretakers, to greet

guests and facilitate preaching programs.

8. High cleanliness standard for a sattvic environment!

9. Guest room for visiting devotees and members.

We have taken the leap and bought a perfect house with the potential for launching this program in service to Srila Prabhupada’s mission. Please consider giving whatever you can to help us fix and improve some very important aspects of the home. For example, the health clinic needs a heating/cooling system as it will be unbearably hot in the summer. The roof needs work, electrical and more. We received an estimate from a licensed contractor for ~$30,000. Additionally, we need to furnish the entire house and purchase appliances.

Part of our mission is to create a model that can be duplicated, so we are happy to assist any devotees interested in pursuing such a program in the future. Please be a part of this very important step to improving the opportunity for sanga in our ISKCON family.

With all of your help, our goal is to launch in late March! Our Brahmacari caretakers will be returning from India, and for their safety, we would like to address all of the electrical and roofing issues before then.
