Mantra Meditation CD Support
Hari Om family,
I have been sheltering in place at the Ashram I live in in San Francisco. This environment has been incredibly conducive during these time and has enabled me to have the time and space to dive deeper into Mantra Meditation as well as share it on a regular basis each week.
The practice of Kirtan, devotional singing, has kept me sane, in service, connected and enabled me to meet some really wonderful people
online who have inspired and encouraged me. I have been blessed with good health over this year and so I have kept my practice alive and well and more consistent than ever. And now, with your help I’m looking forward to starting my second CD project. You can find my first CD "Hari Om" on Spotify and iTunes. This will be a softer sounding experience, one that will fill the heart and soul with the rasa of devotion and soothe our tired minds.
The art of Kirtan, is that of, call and response. It is like the call of a child for its mother! She does not care what the child sounds like. She only responds to the cry of its child, no judgment, just pure love. When we call out these sacred names the vibration has a powerful effect on body, mind and spirit. My hopes for this upcoming CD is to awaken a connection to spirit and to one another despite our distance as well as help you to relax, bring some joy and inspire movement too! There are many names for God- Krishna, Shiva, Jesus, Ram, Allah, Ma, Reality, Peace- take your pick and then focus on the beauty of surrender and how it can carry you across the turbulent seas of life. The funds I am trying to raise will be used to pay the producer, the musician, mixing and mastering, studio time, CD production,
photography and art work. My experience has been that creating a CD is truly a family affair.
You are my family, the music is the offspring of a Communitty striving to connect through the power of love through the devotional
practice of Bhakti.
Im eternally grateful for all your support family!
Hari Om,
Astrud
