In April 2026, Mansfield Rugby Club celebrates its 70th anniversary, having been a leading light in our local sporting community since 23 April 1956.
To mark this milestone, our 22 teams (from U6s to U18 plus senior men and women) are running a year-long fundraising campaign called “70 for 70”, aiming to raise £70,000 to carry out essential repairs and improvements to our ageing clubhouse and grounds.
The players will be joined in a series of individual and team physical challenges, as well as fun and community activites. They will be joined in their quest by club administrators, supporters and friends who will join them in undertaking their own series of sponsored challenges over the next year.
All of this is to raise £70,000 — which is £1,000 for every year of our history to help rebuild and repair our aging facilities.
The money will go towards essential repairs and improvements to our clubhouse and grounds, protecting this special place for future generations.
With an ageing building there are many items that need attention, such as a leaking roof, ancient boiler & heating system for showers and water, lighting that is very old, not efficent and expensive to run plus many more items. All of which need to be replaced or updated and made more energy efficient.
Mansfield Rugby Club has provided an outstanding local sports hub for generations of local people for seven decades building confidence and character helping to shape lives.
This campaign ensures it can continue to do so for many generations to come. We would be delighted if you would consider supporting us by sponsoring us and donating safely to our page as our members go through their nominated activities to raise funds over the coming year.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROUS SUPPORT
We will update everyone throughout the year as to our progress and on completion of each sponsored activity. This will be done through our social media channels, website and club emails. Check in on us by clicking any of the links below to see how we are getting on:
