Beaux Rohrbaugh (Sr.) and Myken Barnes (Freshman) of the Mansfield University Bass fishing team, and Fisheries Biology program have qualified for the MLF (Major League Fishing) Collegiate National Championship on Wheeler Lake, Alabama.

After making their MLF debut on the St. Lawrence river in upstate NY. After the first week of classes, the two self funded college students took 2nd place behind the university of Alabama during this MLF qualifying tournament. This 2nd place finish allowed Beaux and Myken of Mansfield university to qualify for the MLF college National Championship in April of 2025.
