Man-O-War Hurricane Dorian Relief Fund

On September 1st, 2019, Hurricane Dorian totally devastated the islands of the Northern Bahamas. Man-O-War Cay together with other islands in Abaco and Grand Bahama have been destroyed. There has been no communication from Man-O-War with the exception of small bits of information. All residents to our knowledge have been accounted for, but the destruction Dorian has left in its path is heartbreaking. Homes have been totally destroyed. Livelihoods lost. The amazing people of Man-O-War need your help! It is going to take a long time to rebuild the island, but with your help it will be possible.
100% of your donation will go directly to the residents of Man-O-War to purchase supplies to rebuild their homes. They will need support over the coming months and years. Thank you for your support!
Man-O-War is a special island with very special people. There are approximately 250 residents. Everyone know everyone, and they support each other in good times and bad. They are hard working and industrious people who operate the many family-owned businesses on the island. However, the island is famous for its boat-building history. William H. Albury was famous in the country for his tremendous boat-building skills. He built his first schooner at the age of 14. Albury died in 1972, but the boat building on the Cay still lives on.

Susan, Sandra, Sara, and Sean Cove are Bahamians living in Boston. Their father, Norman Cove, step-mother Penny Cove, brother Max Albury; brother Andrew Cove, sister-in-law Megan Cove, their daughters, Victoria and Kathryn; sister Amanda Sherratt, brother-in-law Michael Sherratt and their daughters, Matilda and Imogen; together with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins all reside on Man-O-War Cay. They love Man-O-War and its people and want to support them in any way possible.
