My name is Prasanna Kommu, I am a Physical Therapist in VA, USA. My heart is weeping to write this… Manohar Dayala is a 19 year old boy with lots of aspirations and dreams!! only son of a farmer Narasimha Dayala from a small village called Peddathundla in Rangareddy district, Telangana. He is only hope for his parents who’s income is only from farming for daily wage in their village. Mani helps his family run the home, goes to college and works part time as electrician to support.

I know his family and him very well as he is from my ammamma’s village, when I visited India recently after 6 years, being lost in the city with no help, he was my angel helping me with everything despite of his busy schedule whenever I ask!

He was driving on scooty from his village towards Ibrahimpatnam running some errands last Monday, 11/7/22 morning, he met with a grave accident near Ibrahimpatnam, right across Gurunanak college…thank God to his helmet for protecting his life at the moment, he bounced in the air about 5 times as he got struck by a car from the front.. his femur broke into several pieces and had minor head injury… his family was devastated to see their only son in that condition and their family could not afford his medical treatment. He was admitted to Ozone hospital, Dilsukhnagar. After a day he seemed okay, doctors said he needs the femur/thigh bone surgery, he just was unable recollect how he met with accident, but other than that, lots of confidence that he will recover and be back home soon.. we spoke to him, we laughed, as a Physical therapist, I told him he will be running around as always in no time once the surgery is done to fix the femur fracture and gets his therapy! His family was unable to pay for his surgery so they waited a little.

A ray of hope, after 2 days they received approval from Aroghyashree government program for his femur surgery! Surgery was scheduled for today 11/10/22 ! Just called them for an update this morning, to shatter all our expectations and hopes his condition suddenly worsened today due to Fat Embolism which travelled to his lungs causing pulmonary embolism and Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome!! To simply say he stopped breathing due to fat from his fracture escaping to lungs blocking the airways! He is now moved to ICU, and is on life support! He is being treated with supportive care! But oh boy! This boy doesn’t deserve this! This nice family doesn’t deserve this! Now these medical expenses to bring him back are not covered with Aroghyashree anymore! I am helping him as much as I can, can you guys please contribute!! Help this boy! Please pray this embolism will clear soon and he can start breathing again!! Please share this post with anyone you can!! I am sharing my own details… all funds will be transferred to Manohar’s family!! I am 100% sure Mani will be up soon and running around again in no time!! LETS HELP MANI RECOVER!!
