Help Save Manny from Eviction

As many of you know, I recently had neurosurgery to remove a herniated disk that was pressing against a nerve that threatened to take away all use of my right arm. While the sugery and recovery has been a success, I am only able to work part-time, barely able to meet basic expenses. Not only that, but the disability claim that was supposed to provide much-needed funds by the middle of the month has been delayed.

As if this weren't bad enough, I found out today that the post office has lost the rent check that was mailed a few weeks ago, and without that payment, the landlord is now beginning to pursue eviction. 

Credit cards are maxed out. Rich and I have sought assistance, but don't qualify. I discovered an organization that offers no-interest emergency loans, but it requires 2 co-signers that must reside in the state of California.

We're turning to our family and friends, hat in hand, for help. The amount we're requesting is for this month's rent and next, minus what funds of our own we have. This is our number one priority - I'm still recovering from surgery, the few friends we've made here are in no position to put us up, and after seeing the plight of the homeless in LA, the thought of sleeping on the street absolutely terrifies me.
