Help for injured firefighter’s family

Your help is needed for Manny Vazquez, the wildland firefighter severely injured during the ongoing battle against the August Complex fire in Mendocino, California. The work engine in which he was a passenger went off the road in the midst of the fire, tragically ending the life of his mentor and colleague. Manny is in stable condition, and his primary medical expenses will mostly be covered. We need help paying the significant expenses for his family to travel from La Grande, Oregon to be with him at UC Davis Hospital in this difficult time, the lodging and time away from work, as well as adjunct expenses for his full recovery after he returns to Oregon. Anyone who knows Manny is aware that he is deeply loyal and dedicated to his crew and he would do anything to help, so please if you can, consider helping him and his family now, however you can, so they can be together and he can get the care he needs to make a full recovery and get back to running his family business (New York Richies sandwich shop) and his forestry and outdoors endeavors.
