Friends and Family, what an incredible journey it has been pursuing my college degree thus far. I sit and think about where I am at and how I got here and my mind goes directly to the miraculous works of God and the generous, loving support from all of you. Thank you so much for everything.
Last year I was a part of the spiritual formation department and served as a chaplain of the school while also filling the role as team manager and chaplain for our men's basketball team. I was able to share different parts of my story as well as perform spoken word poetry during chapel. It was an incredible first year at Vanguard university.
This year, I am serving as a residents assistant and am running a building at the off campus apartment complex for upperclassmen while also playing basketball for the development team(similar to JV) here and continuing my role as manager and chaplain of our men's basketball team.(basically varsity)
I am continuing to play a part on the spiritual formation team as I have lead a few prayer transitions and am part of the prayer team at chapel when i'm needed. I will also be preaching on March 3rd and am very excited about that.
This journey has been amazing and I have been able to come alongside many young students who are at different parts of their walk with Christ. I have watched as they have given their lives to Christ, rededicated themselves to him and it has been such a gift to be a part of.
I am continuing my musical career and my clothing brand when possible but have taken a step back as I am fully submerged into college life. However God continues to use those platforms to bring life change, furthering the gospel all over the world.
This summer I have the opportunity to continue my education while studying abroad in Israel! The Israel, Bible Lands Study Program is designed specifically for students desiring a more intense and comprehensive learning experience in the lands of the Bible. I will explore my faith and study the text of Scripture within its geographical, historical, and cultural context, as well as interacting with world-renowned scholars including archaeologists and historians. In Israel, I will acquire rich background insight into the Old and New Testament worlds with a particular emphasis on the development of Judaism as it relates to the life of Jesus. The Bible will be brought to life in this study intensive, following the footsteps of Jesus throughout Israel. Many of the lectures take place on location which allow for an in-depth understanding of Scripture and cultural context, and provide the opportunity for an experiential education. Sites include: Dead Sea, Sea of Galilee, Jordan River, Nazareth, Bethlehem,Capernaum, Mount Carmel, Masada, Mount of Olive, Garden of Gethsemane, Jerusalem and so many more. On this trip, I'll be able to float in the Dead Sea, overlook the Road to Jericho, ride a camel and reenact Mary and Joseph's journey to Bethlehem on a donkey. And beyond that, the Bible and how I engage with Scripture will never be the same!
I am so excited, however I need some help. I need to raise about 5,500$ in order to make this happen and I was hoping you would consider partnering with me to achieve this dream. I am working part time through music and speaking engagements and work at a machine shop on the weekends to help pay for myself as well. I have worked for and raised 2,000$ so far which leaves me at 3,500$ left.
My hope is that I would get 35 people to donate 100$ or 14 people to donate 250$ to help me reach the remainder of my goal. Would you consider being one of these people? Of course any amount helps and I would be appreciative of anything even a share of this campaign on social media! Please partner with me in prayer so that I would be able to achieve my goal and get to study in Israel!
If you know me personally please reach out to me directly to meet up because gofundme takes out a percentage of the donations and I don't want your money wasted!
Thank you so much for reading and being a part of this journey with me. I love you all!
