Hi Everyone - We got news today they are going forward with Manny's Stem Cell Transplant. I took Manny up to City of Hope today for consultation and meeting of all the doctors involved. Then we will come home and go back up on Friday evening and check into the City of Hope Village for the weekend. On Saturday and Sunday Manny will undergo a lot of testing. On Monday morning he will be admitted to the City of Hope transplant hospital. He will be there 3-5 weeks. Thomas goes up in a few weeks to donate his stem cells. Thomas will be there for two days and then Manny will receive the following day. The treatment before the transplant is gonna be a tough one and we will need all your prayers. I know you all pray for Manny now but he's gonna need inner strength to help pull him through. I will be staying up in Pasadena in a hotel to be by Manny’s side. I’m not one to ask for help when it comes to things like this but the cost of hotel and meals will take a toll on us financially, that I won’t be working during this time and have used up all my sick and vacation time. If you can find it in your heart to help us out, we would truly appreciate your help.
