Manny Solis Memorial Fund
Donation protected
With heavy hearts, our family recently announced the passing of our beloved Manny. Manny Solis passed away peacefully in his sleep, at the age of 69. He spent his last days riding his motorcycle, Betty, and visiting family in his hometown of San Antonio. Manny was born on January 25th, 1953 in San Antonio, Texas and attended Breckenridge High School. As a young man, he served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War as an aircraft electrician. He became a registered nurse after studying at Victoria College. He was a nurse for nearly thirty years, caring for patients in the emergency department and saving lives as a flight nurse on medical transports. He loved sharing stories, hosting backyard barbecues, and exploring the country on his motorcycle. Above all else, Manny loved his family. Funeral will be held at 10am on October 27 at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX with a memorial taking place on January 21 at 4pm at Joseph’s Grill in Saint Paul, MN.
The unexpected nature of Manny’s passing has made it especially difficult to cover the costs needed for funeral services. This fundraiser is to support Manny’s family during this difficult time as they honor him, his life and his legacy. In addition to funeral expenses, the funds will be used to transport the beloved Betty from Texas to Minnesota. Please consider donating if you are able to do so. We are so very grateful for every donation.
This fundraiser was put together by a family friend.
