Sergeant Emanuele Alongi is a 19-year member of the New York City Police Department and is currently assigned to Manhattan Transit District Four.  Manny is a devoted father, son, brother and a friend to many within the New York Community.  

In March 2020 Manny was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer because of the dedicated work he did during WTC 9/11 and has had recurring hospitalizations in the last few months at Colombia Presbyterian Hospital.  These multiple admissions to the hospital were due to complications from his illness and he was unable to have any visitors due to the COVID 19 pandemic.  Unfortunately, despite the treatment he was afforded while in the hospital he has been discharged and is now in-Home Hospice Care where he is fighting for his life.  Despite his illness Manny has maintained a positive outlook on life.  Manny has always been brave, selfless, and has provided dedication and commitment to NYPD and friends.

During times of need Manny has always been there for his family, friends, and colleagues.  At this time as gratitude we want to continue our prayers and show our support for Manny and his family.

He has since been discharged so all contributions to this fund are greatly appreciated and will show Manny and his family how we support each other during good and bad times at the NYPD.
