Mankato's VEX IQ program's team Ender Dragons received the Innovative Award at the Minnesota State VEX IQ Tournament 2023! And along with it...an invitation to the VEX IQ Worlds competition (which they happily accepted)!
These young students worked hard throughout the season, overcoming challenges and adapting their robots along the way. Their perseverance paid off and they are excited to represent Mankato at the World's competition this May in Dallas.
The team appreciates any support you can offer to help offset the entry fees and cost of travel.
The Mankato VEX IQ program, for 4th-6th graders, is run by the MAPS Community Education department. The program supports students through the State competition level and was created to introduce younger students to the world of robotics before entering into the Middle and High School programs.
Beyond science and engineering principles, VEX Robotics encourages creativity, teamwork, leadership and problem solving among groups. It allows educators to easily customize projects to meet the level of students abilities as they inspire & prepare STEM problem solvers of tomorrow. With 20,000 teams competing in over 40 countries, VEX represents the world's largest and fastest-growing education robotics competition. (worldskills.org)
