You need back up, a proverbial "village" to support your unique family. In a province with over 3,000 registered homeschoolers, the Manitoba Association for Schooling at Home (MASH) is your village.
Since the 1980s, MASH has been a vital resource to Manitoba's homeschoolers, providing support, information, and advocacy to a growing community. MASH is a not for profit group led by volunteers made up of homeschooling parents like you who care deeply about creating the best possible learning environment for their children. From planning events and sharing relevant news to representing a homeschooling-positive perspective to the media and government, MASH is here to support your family, whatever your educational approach or background.

Like any not for profit, MASH incurs some expenses in operating. Outings and workshops are managed on a cost recovery basis, but we need to pool our resources to cover the other admin expenses.
Over the years, MASH has experimented with collecting membership fees and restricting access to its events, newsletters, etc. to members only. The current MASH board feels strongly about keeping access to its services open and available to all who need them, regardless of abililty to pay.
MASH is asking you, as homeschooling parents, grandparents, graduates and friends of all stripes to partner with us by making a small contribution today.
Your village needs you!
All proceeds of this campaign will go directly into the 2016/17 MASH budget to pay for things like insurance and website costs - not flashy, but absolutely necessary; behind every great picnic is a great insurance policy!
Over the next few weeks we'll be sharing highlights of MASH's vital work. Watch for pictures, stories and, yes, inspiring stats coming to you via Facebook! We need to reach our $2,000 goal by September 15th in order to implement all the events we're planning for homeschool families in 2016/17.
