Manila Science High School Batch ‘83 Welfare Fund

Dear Fellow MaScians, Friends of MaScians, and Generous Strangers,

We are Manila Science High School Batch ‘83.

Over 40 years have passed since we graduated from high school; we’ve all gone our separate ways, taken different paths, pursued different careers, moved to different countries… one thing does not change though: we’re always going to be part of this community that began in our high school. And whether you’re an alumni of Manila Science High School or someone who cherishes their own high school memories, we invite you to be part of something meaningful.

Our group has established a Welfare Fund to support Batch ‘83 fellow MaScians facing tough financial times in the Philippines — facing mounting medical bills, or the heavy burden of funeral expenses.

This effort began in March as a modest, entirely voluntary initiative, built on transparency, trust, and compassion. Every dollar is accounted for, with strong internal controls and regular updates. Since the establishment of the fund, we’ve helped batchmates through emergency surgeries and provided financial and emotional support to the grieving. Currently, a small but generous group of 30+ donors makes it possible for us to respond to urgent requests, but with your support, we can expand our reach and help even more generously.

You don’t have to be a Batch ‘83 alum to make a difference. Perhaps you’d like to give in memory of your own classmates, a teacher who believed in you, or a friend who made those years unforgettable. We appreciate every contribution; large or small, it is both a tribute and a lifeline.
