Fighting for My Life and Family: Saving My Family's Last Memories

Nuremberg
It is from here that I am forced to write these words — a bureaucracy that has destroyed me has left me roofless, surviving in a tent, stripped of all basic stability. I live from day to day, collecting street bottle deposits just to survive.

First, they strip you of everything and make you penniless, and then they leave you to die on the street. They hide behind cold paragraphs, decorative rules, and bureaucratic structures to protect their own comfort, completely ignoring absolute physical helplessness. Even with zero funds and a frozen winter approaching, their local foundations immediately reject any real help based on pure formalities. They are cowards who hide behind paper shields when real human suffering is right in front of them.

I have nothing but contempt for their cold, cowardly administrative machinery. Because they act like machines and not human beings, I can only hope that the rest of the world is different — that there is still genuine humanity out there. This is why I am bypassing these dead institutional channels and appealing directly to your human solidarity.

I am seeking €28,885 to help me survive this crisis, protect what remains of my family's life and history, and regain the stability and independence that I have lost.

(The accompanying photo gallery documents my current living conditions and the reality behind this appeal. Further explanations of what the photographs show can be found in the posts below.)

MY BROTHER PETR IS STILL WAITING FOR JUSTICE AND A DIGNIFIED FAREWELL
My brother Petr has died, suddenly and completely alone at the age of 51, after a very difficult life. Even giving him a dignified farewell has become another battle with bureaucracy.
Since 8 July 2026, I have been waiting for the DNA sampling needed to resolve his identification. According to written communication I received from a senior Czech police commissioner approximately one month ago, the Czech authorities had officially requested the DNA sampling from their Bavarian counterparts. However, the Czech police told me they could not compel the Bavarian authorities to act and could only continue to urge them.
My brother is dead. His family deserves answers, and he deserves a dignified burial. How long must we wait? While I am struggling to survive without a home, I am also fighting to ensure that my brother is not forgotten in a maze of cross-border bureaucracy. From this tent in Bavaria, without money, I am completely blocked.
At the same time, I am fighting an immediate deadline to rescue my last personal belongings from destruction, including irreplaceable family photographs and memories of my parents.
I am fighting for bare survival and to save my family's remaining heritage. Your support is the only tactical leverage I have left to break this wall, secure a winter base, and solve this crisis.
Thank you for your time, solidarity, and humanity.

1. RESCUE OF MY PERSONAL LIFE (CHAM): 50 boxes of my personal things face imminent destruction in a Cham shipyard. Inside those boxes is my entire life, including unique family photographs of people who are no longer here. The local authorities and the Jobcenter brutally refused relocation support.
(Official German Legal Case Ref: L 11 AS 482/26 BER)

2. DEATH OF MY BROTHER (PETR): My brother Petr passed away suddenly in Prague. The Prague police attempted to contact me immediately, but due to the grinding wheels of the institutional machinery, the communication was severely delayed before the Bavarian authorities finally notified me. This bureaucratic deadlock continues to this very day, as officials keep blocking DNA verification, denying him a dignified burial.

3. MOBILITY STRANGULATION
The system has frozen my mobility and cut off my access to the basic means of survival. My only current means of staying alive is the exhausting daily task of collecting and returning deposit bottles and containers from public spaces (€0.08 for glass bottles and €0.25 for eligible plastic bottles and cans).
Meanwhile, the authorities merely maintain this grim status quo without offering any meaningful way out of the trap.
As my own way out of this crisis, I am preparing the launch of an independent digital platform. This initiative will allow me to put my professional skills to use, stand on my own feet, and achieve genuine long-term independence.

This institutional crime has already been formally registered, processed, and acknowledged at the highest level of the European Union:
• European Commission Official Case Reference: Ares(2026)745-99-85
• European Parliament EMPL Committee Registry: RE: URGENT LEGAL SUBMISSION.

Every donation, no matter the size, brings me closer to saving my family's archives and giving my brother the burial he deserves. If you cannot donate, please share this link with your community—your solidarity is my strongest shield.

Thank you,
Jan Spiegl
