Help Reunite Mania and Mona!

Nearly 10 years ago, my dear friend Mania's dream came true and she was able to immigrate to the U.S. from Iran. But there was a catch--Mania had to leave her beloved sister Mona behind in Iran.

10 years of interviews and vetting and paperwork and prayers finally payed off, and Mona's application was approved at the end of last year. And then Trump's ban happened.

The past week has been hell for Mania, Mona and their family. Twice already in the past few days, Mona has gone to the airport ticket in hand, only to be turned away from her flight and sent home. Here in Portland, Oregon, Mania has been a tireless advocate for her sister, making call after call through tears, looking for information and advice, barely sleeping, and running up a giant credit card debt on airplane ticket after ticket.

Last night's stay by a Seattle judge is the miracle this family has been praying for. In just a few hours, Mona will (hopefully) board a plane to the U.S. and the family will be reunited. Please join me RIGHT NOW in helping to make this reunion possible.

Any fellow human going through this terrible ordeal would deserve our support, but I know firsthand that THIS human--Mania--also happens to be one of the sweetest, kindest and strongest people around. When she's not studying to be a marriage and family therapist, or practicing Persian dance, she's at her internship counseling other immigrants and refugees through their own struggles.
