Imani Dior was an angel among us. She cared so much for her Mimi and Papa and all of her family. She loved fashion and clothing, which she attributed to her Aunt Shelly. She loved to play in her kitchen and with her dolls and LoL figures. In the summer of 2018, at 5-years-old, Mani was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor. She underwent surgery and radiation as well as rigorous occupational and physical therapy, as the tumor had effected her ability to walk and perform other basic tasks. She struggled to regain her mobility, with her Mimi beside her the entire time. After months of battling the "germ" in her head, Mani was cancer free. She went trick-or-treating during Halloween without a walker, celebrated her 6th birthday in style with her friends and family, and excitedly tore through presents from her beloved Papa at Christmastime. Just one week ago, after experiencing some headaches and severe back pain, Mani and her Mimi went to the hospital for a routine scan. The cancer was back...and it came with a vengeance, invading her brain and spinal cord. On Saturday, February 16th, the Lord took Mani to be among his angels in Heaven. Mani's family is grieving for her and also struggling through the painstaking process of planning and financing a funeral for their baby girl. Any donation to the family would help to pay for services, a casket, and the burial. If you are unable to contribute financially, please offer a prayer to the Lord to watch over precious Mani, her courageous Mimi, and all of the family. Thank you <3
