Manhattan2Montauk: Karen Schupak Scholarship Ride

In just over a week I will be biking the 140 miles from Manhattan to Montauk in one day to raise money for the Karen D Schupak Scholarship Fund.
My mom (who, as many of you know, was a total badass) passed on January 16th of this year - just about 7 months ago now. After her death, a scholarship fund was established in her name at SUNY Buffalo Medical School, (where she spent some of her fondest years) to help support students with similar passion and drive through medical school. Her medical education was something she cherished throughout her life. Now here I am, at the tail end of my own journey through medical school. I can’t think of a better way to honor my mom’s legacy than to attempt to accomplish a simply absurd amount of miles in a day all in the name of raising money to support other students through their own journeys in medicine.
I’ll be biking with my two dear friends, Ryan Thompson and Alex Estrella (both fellow medical students with me at NYU). Ryan, too, is raising money on behalf of his dear friend Brian (check out the Count On Me Fund if you’re interested in learning more)!
Anything you can do to help me reach me goal is so very much appreciated!
