Manhattan 20 Bridges

Hi, my name is Lorena Costa Bedoya and I am 39 years old. I am a swimmer and this is my passion. I want to greet the entire Peruvian community in the United States, and at the same time invite you to accompany me to the departure and arrival of a great challenge that will take place on July 23 of this year. I will swim 30 miles around Manhattan Island.

At the end of the swim I will become the first Peruvian woman to do so and thus get my first Open Water Crown. It is a great challenge and I am preparing hard to achieve it and to be able to raise the flag of Peru upon arrival together with all of you and the determination that characterizes us.

None of this would be possible without the support of all the people who are joining this great adventure voluntarily.

Unfortunately I do not have support from the government and although some private companies have joined and believe in this great opportunity, I would love for you to also join voluntarily to be able to pay for what this event entails. I travel alone with my backpack full of enthusiasm, every amount adds up, $10, $20, all support will be very grateful

I look forward to seeing you on July 23rd in Battery Park to celebrate together and raise our red and white.

Hola, mi nombre es Lorena Costa Bedoya y me encantaría contar con tu apoyo y el de toda la comunidad peruana y lograr juntos tener mayor visibilidad en grandes retos como este. Le daré la vuelta a la isla de Manhattan el 23 de julio de este año y serán 48 kilómetros nadando.

Mi objetivo es lograrlo y así sería la primera mujer peruana en este gran desafío.

Inspirar a más personas a perseguir sus sueños. Alentar a las mujeres a seguir adelante para lograr sus objetivos con constancia y determinación.
