We are Wagana - a collective of First Nations people living in Dharug, Gundungurra and Wiradjuri Country who practice traditional and contemporary dance, song and fibre arts. We've been gathering to dance, sing, weave and make fire together since 2007.
manhang waganha dungin-gu which translates to dancing and sleeping with the soil in Wiradjuri language, is a project we're bringing together with four of our young dancers, Montana, Barbara, Kiana and Xanthe guided by our Aunty Jo Clancy and Country.
We're raising funds to have camp outs, make songs and dances in Wiradjuri Country and then fly to Malaysia in 2027 to share what we've created at the Dance and the Child International gathering.
