On September 11, 2023 my friends bengal cat went missing. She had a tracker on Mango and it was manually shut off at 1PM in her neighborhood on NW Oceania Loop in waldport, OR. Sarah went seeking for help from her neighbors. One of the neighbors disliked Mango and made it very clear to her. He did not like that mango chased squirrels. She felt in her heart someone had taken him / hurt him. Mango always returned home after going outside and he did not return back for days. She would use the gps collar to ring him and he was home every day by 5 pm. . Finally at 2AM on Saturday the 16th he walked in visibly hurt. Sarah rushed him to an emergency vet in Corvallis and immediately went into surgery because his neck was badly cut. The vet believed he was shot and went hiding because he was terrified and was not strong enough to get home until he did. The vet advised Sarah to take Mango to Oregon State Vet Hospital to undergo another surgery because his vertebrae was fractured. He is a strong boy though he made it through surgery and they were able to repair his esophagus. 

Sarah has put out a police report and has been in and out of the hospital to see Mango in hopes he makes it and can make it back home with her.

He made it out of surgery alive. The osu doctor is amazed that he made it. They said it would be a waste to try to repair the esophagus but he made it! The cats still in icu at osu but he’s alive! I just need help paying for these vet bills they’re getting insane. But he made it!
