Hi, my name is Sarah, and my fiancé's name is Jed. We have three cats (Mango, Charlie, and Nona.). Unfortunately, Mango has been diagnosed with diabetic ketoacidosis. This has caught us completely by surprise, both emotionally and financially.

Mango is genuinely one of the most incredible cats ever to walk the Earth. He is kind and soft and funny. His bond with Jed is unlike any cat-human bond I have ever known. This diagnosis is not only scary because of the implications it holds for his life (a lifetime of insulin shots) but also for the financial implications.

His health deteriorated so rapidly in the past week that we took him to the ER at PennVet, and they have admitted him. They will be taking care of him for a few days (equalizing his blood sugar, hydrating him via IV, etc.), and the financial burden is... overwhelming.

We were quoted $7000 for this hospital stay, and that's on top of the urgent care visit he had last week, and all impending insulin purchases.

Absolutely any contribution would be hugely helpful for us. I have been unemployed and seeking work diligently since August of last year, and Jed just recently opened his private practice for counseling, which he is still building up. On top of all of that, we have been trying to save for our 2025 wedding. So clearly, our finances were already in a rough patch before Mango's health concern transpired.

Mango is Jed's first true love, and I know that he is willing to drown himself in debt to save this cat, and that is why I know I have to be the one to ask for help. If you could spare any monetary donation, we would be eternally grateful.
