Hi all. This is Leanne, Kelley's big sister & Scott's best friend.

You're here on this GOFUNDME page most likely because you know & love Kelley & Scott and know what a big part of the family Mango is. In our family, dogs are more like our fur babies - they ride bikes and backcountry with us, sleep on the couch and join us at all of our adventure & even work. You all know, we're dog lovers here.

On September 14th 2023, we found out Mango has lymphoma, a cancer found in her lymph nodes. Without treatment, Mango would have weeks to a few months to live. She's only 4 years old! K & S we're faced with the hard decision of starting chemotherapy. Of course they want to extend our time with her if her quality of life is still high and she can continue to do the things that little Mango loves to do. Chemotherapy and seeing a specialist in Denver could extend her life up to 3 years!!

Mango got her first round of chemo on 9/27/2023 and will continue to rounds for the next 6 months. K & S will drive from Silverthorne to Wheatridge ~ 120 miles once a week (through i70 traffic, snow, ect.) through March 2024.

All that being said, I started this GOFUNDME to help offset the financial burden this next 6 months will bring. K & S are so smart and have doggie insurance but chemotherapy, driving & other medical necessities will still cost somewhere around $7,500 out of pocket.

Rachel Levin is working with Clint's Bakery in Breckenridge to make dog bones to sell around Summit County (so keep an eye out for those) & RMU Breck will be hosting a Mango fundraiser October 27th in the evening.
