Mandy is a severely disabled woman who I met at a Pink Ladies protest in Dover to meet us and tell us her story. Mandy was raped in her own home by a “plumber” who was sent to undertake repairs by her private landlord. He was a convicted rapist who had been released from prison 6 weeks before! He subjected Mandy to a 4 hour attack at knife point. Mandy is traumatised and needs therapy for severe anxiety and depression but is on a 2 year waiting list. She also needs a stairlift in her house but cannot get one installed as its a privately rented property. The council have offered her a bedset on the 5th floor of a block !!! When we have illegal migrants being given brand new properties!!!
