I'm raising money in support of my friend Mandy's medical emergency. In her own Words:

This is something I never imagined I would have to write, and I feel incredibly embarrassed even asking. Those of you who know me know that I very rarely reach out for help, but right now I truly need it.

I was admitted to hospital on 19th February, where I spent 2 weeks in ICU followed by 4 weeks on the ward with Acute kidney failure. I didn’t need dialysis, but did receive blood transfusions. It has been one of the most frightening and exhausting experiences of my life, both physically and emotionally. I was able to come home for one week, but unfortunately became unwell again and was readmitted to ICU with pulmonary pneumonia….. coughing up blood is terrifying!

Although my insurance has covered a large portion of the medical costs, I am still left with a bill of 63,000 Dirham (approximately £5,050).

I am now back home, but recovery is slow and will take time. I’m focusing on regaining my strength and taking things day by day.
