A true Westside baby - From LA / Oakland to Detroit, NY and beyond - Mando Almendarez was and is our best friend, our family and a support system all rolled into one. Fun, beautiful, talented, loyal and caring - anyone blessed to have crossed paths with them would tell you that there are no words to describe how perfect of a human he really was.
Besides being an incredibly talented artist - An Angel is what they would laugh at being described as and probably oppose, but none the less an Angel was what he was. A true staple of the community - if anyone ever needed help they were the first to offer whatever they had. Always ready with a monster in one hand and a joke up their sleeve, he would make you laugh at the drop of a dime. They would give you their all and never asked for anything in return.
Strangers were friends, friends were family and family was everything to them. A true Mover - we will never be able to replace you but your memory lives strong. Lucky to remember you through the pictures you took, on our bus benches and our walls, and the couch that you placed to kick back on in our hearts.
Gone but never forgotten, honored and forever loved. We miss you, we love you and we will see you soon in our dreams.
