Mandi fund for World Conference PT

In order to graduate with a doctorate degree in physical therapy through Texas State University, the curriculum requires that I produce a research project to parallel the fact that we are a research based profession. To be frank, this was not something I looked forward to. So, I hope you can imagine how incredibly grateful my research partner, Sean, and I were to be invited to present our research at the state level, through the Texas Physical Therapy Association in Ft. Worth. We were even more astounded when we got accepted to present at the national level, through the American Physical Therapy Association Combined Section Meeting in San Antonio. Recently, we learned that our research was accepted to be presented at the World Confederation of Physical Therapy congress meeting in Cape Town, South Africa!!! (OMG!!!!) This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and a huge honor, especially for a student researcher; however, as a graduate student, currently living off student loans, money is a limiting factor. This is a wonderful opportunity for me to explore my profession at a world level, network, and share the research I have been working on for over a year.
