Mandeaux's Mission
Donation protected
A little over a month ago, Armandeaux (affectionately known as "Mandeaux") complained of a tummy ache. Most children experience tummy aches, so no one thought that five-year-old Armandeaux's tummy ache was any different. It was different.
On December 2, 2022, after receiving a call from the school nurse that Armandeaux was having constant tummy pain, his mom Nicky (a GCPS teacher) took him to the hospital assuming he may be dealing with some issues from constipation. After running tests, doctors found signs of constipation that were being caused by a 17.5 cm mass in his abdomen. He was admitted to the hospital and more tests revealed that Armandeaux had a Wilm's Tumor (childhood cancer of the kidney). After almost a week in the hospital, on December 7, 2022, Armandeaux underwent surgery that required the removal of the tumor, one of his kidneys, and a small portion of his colon. After an additional 5 days of recovery, Armandeaux was able to head home.
He is now completing rounds of chemotherapy and radiation. Armandeaux is a super bright kindergartner but even he doesn't fully understand his sickness, the possibility of his hair falling out, the port, chemo, and radiation.
"Mandeaux" is on a mission to get through this. He has 3 older sisters and a dog named Rufus. Will you join Armandeaux and his family on this mission? Your donation will greatly help with medical bills and miscellaneous expenses during this time.
Thank You!
