Addy's Next Big Venture - "Mandala" Café

My Lovely Friends! I Need Your Help!

As you have probably heard, I have to give up the cafe I've been running so happily for the past 2 years. It breaks my heart to shut the doors, but it's the way it has to be... 

However, as many friends and loyal customers have recently (and kindly) pointed out; the cafe was just a 'space' and would be nothing without my input, effort, personality, identity, drive and passion. This got me thinking...

Letting go of that space does not mean I am willing to let go of my dream, or what I've done within my community.

Over the past two years I've grown a strong and loyal customer base, learned new skills and cultivated friendships which has meant more to me than I can say!

With that in mind, I now want to find a new space to continue my dream and passion for running a destination coffee shop and performance space, but I'm struggling and need help. I'm looking into council funding and grants that may be available but I'm setting a target goal of £5000 which would help me move into a new space and get set up.

Personally, I have always had mixed feelings about crowd funding - this isn't raising money for a lifesaving operation or a charity and I do understand that asking for money can be mistaken by some for 'begging'. But I've seen it work. I've seen kind people achieve phenomenal things just by asking for help from others.

Please don't feel any duress to donate - I expect nothing and I know how difficult it is for most of us to find any spare change these days! But, I AM brave enough (and not too proud) to ask for whatever help I can get.
