Pigeons are underappreciated and misunderstood birds treated so unfairly in most areas of society, but around the world there are communities doing what they can to help alleviate their suffering.

Manchester Pigeon Rehab is one such group which has a wonderful network of short and long term rehabbers, rescuers, transporters and destringers, which has helped countless pigeons in and around the Manchester area.

It is an expensive passion, however, so I'm hoping by running the London Marathon with Manchester Pigeon Rehab (and maybe a toy pigeon stitched onto my shoulder too!!) we can help give positive exposure to pigeons and help those who fund their care primarily from their own pocket.
