I am creating a short film that showcases the beautiful nature and aquatic atmosphere New Jersey has to offer, while surfacing our natural fear of the unknown. This aquatic horror-thriller has been brewing in the depths for 3 years and with your help, it can finally breach this summer.

Inspired by the 1916 shark attacks in the Matawan River—the same events that inspired the movie JAWS—and by the incredible water people I've met while working at the local surf school, I want to bring a unique vision to life. My goal is to highlight the mystery and thrill that exists right in our own backyard, and to share the sense of awe and suspense that the water can evoke. We'll be filming entirely on the Manasquan River over the course of 7 days, and my team of production savants are ready for action.

The funds raised will help us secure the proper equipment and humans to film effectively on the water. With your support, we can capture the unique beauty and suspenseful atmosphere of New Jersey's aquatic environments, and create a film that immerses viewers in the feeling of being hunted by an ancient creature in present day surroundings.
