Manara Academy Recovery Drive

This past week, friends, neighborhoods and schools suffered devastating impacts during the recent events of Winter Storm URI (February2021).  Our Manara School community was informed by the Irving Fire Department on February 16th they had responded to a water alarm and upon entering the building discovered flowing water and 2-3 inches of standing water throughout our Irving Elementary School Building.

The wide spread long term power outages, extreme cold (for Texas) and lack of heat in the buildings caused water lines to freeze and burst. When we had learned that one of our campus buildings would not be safe for our learners, we took quick action in consolidating the elementary students into another location. We will need additional support from our friends, families, and community at large to continue learning and replace materials needed for  Manara Academy students.

This additional impact to our students and their learning, as well as our families and teachers during a pandemic year is full of challenges. Challenges we are confident we can overcome with your support!
