I’m a firefighter, contractor and lover of people. Went to Oregon to start building a home and took a good job to support the dream. Everything was there only my hard work needed to accomplish this dream. I was riding my motorcycle 150 miles a day to work when one morning a buck jumped in front of my motorcycle at about 55 mph. The bike is totaled and I am in the worst shape of my life. Five broken ribs several vertebrae and a collapsed lung. As well a dissection of a mesenteric artery. After 8 days in the hospital I discharged to try going back to my work as a project coordinator for a construction company but being 150 miles away and unable to get a safe place to rent I had to step down and return to San Diego for help in healing. 

I stopped taking all pain medication two days after discharge and I’m just trying heal quickly so I can go back to work before all my dreams fall apart. My insurance didn’t cover the hospital and I’m running out of money fast. I was hoping for some mercy from others in order to save what I have left in my life, with the idea that I’d match any giving and donate my time in building or repairing for those in need for free after I recover and can work again. I’d be willing to do other things to pay back the help if better ideas were presented but right now I’m in trouble I won’t have a place to live soon as I was living on land I bought with my savings. This land is un developed and I was planning on slowly building on it as I worked. Now that mortgage will default along with my phone and truck registration and so on. With lost work from being hospitalized and traveling back to San Diego I have one pay check left for the three days I worked before realizing I needed care to heal properly. Two of my clients in San Diego sent me money as future deposits on work I’ll do for them when I’m well and I thought maybe this could be an answer. I’ve never tried asking for money before and feel humiliated in doing this but I’m in real trouble. I still cannot lay down as I cannot breath in that position I sleep sitting up surrounded by pillows. but my breathing capacity has improved. Of and pray for the heart and how the void broken through this tragedy could be healed and a family could once again be a possibility. Funding will help pay for medical treatments and expenses while recovering. O2 services PT and other needs. Hospital bills are already over 30k but I am also applying for assistance from the state. one word of advice full coverage isn’t enough if I knew Thai I would have added personal injury to my policy. I thought I was covered be sure you are. My medical insurance had lapsed between leaving one company and starting with another. Another lesson I didn’t understand this process and it’s cost me dearly. Thank you again
