Man City Trip in Memory of Rhys
Donation protected
In November 2021 our 15 year old son Rhys was diagnosed with Melanoma on his scalp. In November 2022 we were told that it had progressed to stage 4 and he needed to commence treatment. Rhys battled bravely for three years, the cancer slowly spreading throughout his body.
On 17th January 2025 Rhys was rushed to hospital with severe pain in his spine. he underwent multiple tests, CT scans and X-rays. Sadly, on the 28th January we were told that his cancer had spread throughout and he was given weeks to live.
My wife and I were devastated and made a promise to Rhys (and each other) to make every single moment we had left with Rhys as special and meaningful as we could. Rhys was a football fanatic and avid Manchester City fan always playing football with his three brothers Peter, Connor and Jayden.
In October 2023 Rhys managed to go to Manchester to watch a City game and have a stadium tour. Then, through the Make a Wish Foundation he was able to meet his idol Jack Grealish!
Rhys sadly passed away at on 15th March 2025 at just 18 years old and one of his last wishes was to have his ashes scattered at the memorial garden at the Manchester City Stadium.
Please help us to reach our goal so we are able to fulfil Rhys final wish for this brave, strong, courageous boy!
Thank you all
