My name is Oscar Valles Herrera, and I’m the eldest son of María Guadalupe Herrera de Valles, known lovingly as La Señora Lupe. On October 10, 2025, my mother passed away after a brave battle against stage 4 cancer. Her strength carried our family through every storm. Even in her final days—without speech, sight, or movement—her love remained constant.

She was the heart of our home. A devoted wife of 42 years to Juan Diego Valles, a mother to many, and a grandmother whose joy was found in her grandchildren’s laughs, hugs, and kisses. She gave it all without hesitation.

“Mami Lupe siempre estaba ahí.”

In 2019, my mother didn’t hesitate. Without asking for recognition, she stepped into the role that life and faith placed before her. She fulfilled a divine promise: to care for my children, to keep them safe, and to raise them within the strength of The Valles Legacy.

It was her commitment to life. And she accomplished it.

In her final days, even as her body weakened, she refused to let go. She held on—not for herself, but to make sure the children would remain protected, surrounded by love, and under the care of the family she helped build. Only when she knew they were safe… did she allow herself to rest.

That was Mami Lupe. She didn’t ask for praise. She gave everything. Her legacy lives in the children she protected, the home she anchored, and the truth she never let go of.

Incluso en sus últimos días—sin habla, sin vista, sin movimiento—su amor permaneció constante.

En el año 2019, mi madre no dudó ni un segundo. Sin pedir reconocimiento, asumió el papel que la vida y la fe le pusieron en el camino. Cumplió una promesa divina: cuidar de mis hijos, protegerlos y criarlos dentro de la fortaleza del Legado Valles.

Fue su compromiso con la vida. Y lo cumplió.

En sus últimos días, incluso cuando su cuerpo ya no respondía, se negó a soltar esta vida. Se aferró—no por ella, sino para asegurarse de que los niños quedarían protegidos, rodeados de amor y bajo el cuidado de la familia que ella misma ayudó a construir. Solo cuando supo que estarían bien… se permitió descansar.

Esa era Mami Lupe. No pidió aplausos. Lo dio todo. Su legado vive en los niños que protegió, en el hogar que sostuvo y en la verdad que jamás soltó.
