My mother means the world to me but most of you reading this already know how special my mother really is and she was recently diagnosed with cancer.
To the people who don't know who she is well, my mom is the most giving, caring, down to earth, and beautiful person I know who is the heart and soul of our family. Our rock. She is always taking care of her friends & family first and drops everything she is doing to go help you out. Lisa is always giving back to our neighbors, church, community, and family. Lisa will go out of her way to make you happy or just to see you smile. Her two favorite things to do in life is serve others and dance. Seeing my mom not being able to dance just crushes my heart. I'd do anything for her just to see her smile again like she does when she dances.

A few weeks ago Lisa wasn't feeling good and had sharp pains in her abdomen section. Rachel (my sister-in-law) pulled the gamma(grandma) card and made her get it checked out. She went that same night to urgent care and the doctor there felt her stomach and told her she needs to go to the E.R. The doctors discovered a mass the size of a grapefruit. They removed 5 liters of fluid in her abdomen which later found out was caused by the tumor. Two days later on Monday the 16th she had surgery and the doctor removed one of her ovaries while finding out what the problem was. The doctor told us that she has been diagnosed with stage 3 Ovarian Cancer which was on 1/16/2017. It felt like a wrecking ball hit our family.
To add the cherry on top of this sundae; Both my parents are entrepreneurs and own their own businesses. My father decided to start something new starting in the beginning of the year, well he had to have hip surgery immediately after the first week of the year because he was in so much pain. With my father, out for 6-8 weeks my mother was taking care of him to lead him on the road to recovery. Then one week later finding out my mother has stage three ovarian cancer really did it for us. Now with no income we are struggling to find ways to come up with money to help pay for all the hospital bills and surgeries.
Lisa will have to go through three months of chemotherapy including a new experimental drug called Avelumab(MSB0010718C). Only 951 women in the world wide at approximately 200 different research sites in 28 countries will be testing this new drug. Then go another surgery after the cancer has shrunk. After that she will have to go through another set of chemotherapy sessions depending on where she is at with the cancer.
These funds will all go towards hospital bills, chemotherapy sessions, lab tests, surgeries, etc. Within the next few weeks we will get billed for all the tests, surgeries, and chemotherapy.
The fund will help my parents and our family in a tremendous way. It will relieve a load of stress that my parents already have on their shoulders with a tidal waves of medical bills coming our way.
From us Walsh's; much love towards y'all. We appreciate any help we can get in this time of need. Every penny helps.
God Bless.
